Every year, ISA holds many cultural events on campus. These include the Ice Cream Social, a place for new students and current students to meet each other and become a part of ISA. Among these events are Gandhi Week, that happens in early October where a week is dedicated to learning about Mahatma Gandhi.

Diwali Night is one of the biggest cultural shows on campus, with delicious Indian appetizers preceding a show featuring a variety of student groups, from fusion dances and a capella groups, to skits and traditional bharatanatyam.

GRB (Garba Raas Bhangra) is a free-admission event where students have a chance to garba to live music.

During the spring semester, India Night, is put on around late April showcasing even bigger talents at U of I and the formal happens later that semester.

Last year’s India Night’s performers and details can be seen here: India Night 2010.
